The Idea
What began as a simple thought about donating unused clothes quickly uncovered a much larger issue. While there are countless people willing to help, finding the right organizations or even knowing where to start is surprisingly difficult. Most discover NGOs through social media or established charities, leaving smaller organizations with little visibility. This became the foundation for Sahaaya: a platform that makes giving, volunteering, and collaboration easier by bringing the entire social impact ecosystem into one place.

The Challenge
While exploring the problem, another challenge became clear. Finding genuine organizations or communities in need of support isn't as easy as it should be. Most people discover charities through social media, where larger, well-known NGOs naturally receive more visibility. Meanwhile, smaller organizations doing meaningful work often remain unnoticed, making it difficult for volunteers, donors, and even other NGOs to discover and support them.

Building Sahaaya
That's where Sahaaya began to take shape. Rather than creating another donation platform, the goal became building a network for the social impact community. A place where NGOs can connect with other NGOs, volunteers can discover causes they care about, donors can contribute with confidence, and community groups can collaborate across cities and states.
The interface was designed to make these interactions feel simple and approachable. From discovering NGOs and donation drives to connecting with volunteers and exploring organizations across different regions, every feature was structured to help users navigate the platform effortlessly. A clean visual language, intuitive navigation, and a community-first experience ensure that the focus always remains on creating meaningful connections.
